Toolbar

The Toolbar has a number of functions, from providing file managing options (New, Open, Save) to simulation commands and access to tools and other parts of the PetroVR suite. It also contains information on the status of the simulation. Its contents varies depending on what tool is currently open.

Unavailable options will appear grey, typically because (as in the example below) it is necessary to run the simulation before accessing e.g. the Results and Reports.

Information Area

All validations passed This indicates that there are no validation errors or warnings. Clicking the button will open the Status Tab.

Validation Issues This indicates that there are validation errors or warnings. Selecting the button will open the Status Tab.

Not simulated This indicates either that the current model has not been simulated, or that changes that may affect the results have been made to it since the last simulation, and therefore the displayed results may be out of date.

Simulated This indicates that the current model has been simulated and the available results are up to date.

The "happy/sad" indicators may have different meanings depending on the tool you are currently using. In PetroVR Plan and Depreciation they refer to the status of the Plan project. Similarly, in PetroVR Portfolio they indicate whether the current portfolio project results are up to date or not. In PetroVR Econ they indicate whether the economic model has been simulated since last modified and is in agreement with the current Plan model. In Contracts, in turn, they indicate whether the current contract has been simulated and is in agreement with the current Econ model. Finally, in Scenarios and Decision Tree they indicate that the results of at least one of the scenarios or tree branches is out of date, either because they have not been simulated or because there were validation failures at the time of simulating.
